Build A Bear

Strategy, User Experience, Design

Build-A-Bear Workshop, a global franchise with more than 400 stores, wanted to think outside the box and engage kids in new ways. In a short turnaround of a few days I was contracted to develop a set of high-fidelity concepts that would image how kids could interact within the store environment using Microsoft Surface technology and RFID tagged components within the bears themselves. This would allow the children to not only have more engagement opportunities within the store environment but in their own own home environment via a tablet app.The research-backed concepts helped established product direction and is currently in several pilot stores.
